JSON-TOOL ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension for formatting, compressing, and comparing JSON data. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Extension collects and how it is used.

1. Data We Collect

The Extension collects anonymous usage statistics via Google Analytics 4 (GA4) Measurement Protocol. This includes:

• Which features are used (e.g., format, compress, diff, theme change)
• How often the Extension is opened
• A randomly generated, anonymous client ID stored in chrome.storage.local

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

• The content of any JSON you paste or edit
• Your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information
• Browsing history or any data from other websites

3. How Data Is Used

Usage statistics are used solely to understand how the Extension is being used and to improve its features. Data is processed by Google Analytics and subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

4. Data Storage

The anonymous client ID is stored locally in your browser via chrome.storage.local. No data is stored on any external server operated by the Extension developer.

5. Third-Party Services

The Extension uses Google Analytics 4 for anonymous usage analytics. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for details on how Google handles this data.
